Proposed Optimization Method in Network Based DAC Software - a Literature Review

چکیده

VME based Ion Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ICRH) Data Acquisition Control system (DAC) is commissioned for remote operation of heating experiment on SST-1 tokamak. Linux client software of DAC using has been connected with Ethernet network. DAC client acts as Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) (Input/ Output Controller) IOC server which is used for other Ethernet connected other DAC client communication for variable exchange during experiment. There are many systems working in collaborative environment for plasma experiment and connected through Ethernet. Existing system using TCP socket call for communication as and when data or event requires which leads the latency over network and overhead of network itself. With the reviews of different papers, we suggest user UDP for communication mechanism and TCP for data exchange. EPICS provides channel access layer which provides this paradigm with broadcasting mechanism. This paper describes the proposed method for ICRH DAC for plasma heating experiment requirement.
